At a recent industry briefing, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang contended that the mounting call for formal AI regulation is superfluous, maintaining that safety can be integrated into every artificial‑intelligence product instead of being mandated by legislators.
Huang described AI as an extension of conventional computing, pointing out that it depends on well‑known hardware and software parts rather than a mysterious, autonomous “alien mind.” He argued that the engineering principles used for chips, operating systems and networking can likewise be employed to incorporate safeguards into AI models, data pipelines and deployment settings.
